Set within the rolling countryside of Surrey, Clare and Nick’s two-day wedding celebration exemplified the beauty of a thoughtfully planned private-home wedding, where every detail felt personal, relaxed and intentionally designed.
In August, we had the pleasure of planning, designing and producing a two-day wedding celebration at the couple’s family home, transforming their private lawn, pool and surrounding spaces into an immersive setting for a joyful summer wedding weekend.
Our approach to luxury at-home weddings combines creative vision with meticulous logistical planning. For Clare and Nick, the design centred around a luxury stretch tent, carefully positioned to work in harmony with the property’s existing pond and landscape.
Every element — from the tent orientation and layout to the floral placement and flow around the water — was considered to ensure the structure enhanced the setting rather than dominated it. The result was a beautifully integrated reception space that felt elegant, immersive and entirely at ease within its surroundings.
A BESPOKE MARQUEE WEDDING WEEKEND IN SURREY
The wedding ceremony took place within the house itself, surrounded by the couple’s closest family and friends. Bathed in warm August light, the atmosphere was intimate and heartfelt — a quiet contrast to the celebrations that would follow.
Hosting the ceremony at home allowed the moment to feel deeply personal, with familiar spaces transformed into something quietly special, framed by natural light and a sense of shared joy.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered poolside for a relaxed drinks reception. Aperol Spritzes and Champagne flowed as guests soaked up the sunshine, setting a celebratory and effortless tone for the afternoon.
When it was time to enter the stretch tent for the wedding breakfast, Claire and Nick were met with spontaneous applause — a moment that perfectly captured the warmth and affection surrounding them. The meal unfolded with elegance and precision, with heartfelt speeches woven seamlessly between courses, creating an atmosphere of laughter, connection and celebration.
After dinner, the couple cut their wedding cake before the celebrations transitioned naturally into a cocktail hour, leading into an evening of live music and dancing. As the sun set, the energy built, with guests dancing late into the night. Discreet security ensured the festivities continued safely around the pool area, allowing guests to enjoy the evening without interruption.
The following morning brought a complete transformation of the space into a relaxed and joyful poolside farewell celebration. Balloons floated across the water, parasols and deck chairs were arranged for comfort, and a dedicated cocktail area emerged as guests returned to continue the celebrations.
With the sun shining and a gentle breeze moving through the lawn, the atmosphere felt playful, unhurried and celebratory — the perfect send-off after a beautifully layered wedding weekend.
Across both days, Clare and Nick radiated happiness — joyful, fulfilled and surrounded by those they love most. From the intimate ceremony to the exuberant pool party finale, every moment was shaped with intention, warmth and care.
