REHEARSAL DINNER | KIN HOUSE

K&A

The rehearsal dinner is often the first opportunity to set the tone for a wedding weekend — an occasion that welcomes guests, establishes atmosphere and introduces the design narrative that will unfold over the days to come. At Kin House, this moment lends itself beautifully to relaxed elegance and thoughtful styling.

As part of Katie & Ashley’s wedding weekend, we had the pleasure of planning and producing an intimate rehearsal dinner within the house, creating a warm and welcoming celebration that felt both considered and effortlessly relaxed.

Hosted in one of Kin House’s characterful interior spaces, The Garden House, the rehearsal dinner was designed to feel intimate and inviting, allowing guests to settle into the setting and connect ahead of the wedding day.

The design embraced a softer, understated palette, layered with natural textures and gentle lighting to complement the contemporary yet characterful interiors of the house. Thoughtful floral details, subtle table styling and candlelight created an atmosphere that felt refined without formality — a perfect prelude to the celebrations ahead.

A REFINED REHEARSAL DINNER IN THE GARDEN HOUSE AT KIN HOUSE

Our approach to rehearsal dinners mirrors our wider planning philosophy: design-led, intentional and always in conversation with the venue. At Kin House, this meant enhancing the space rather than transforming it completely.

Tables were styled with restraint, allowing conversation and connection to take centre stage. The overall effect was warm, welcoming and quietly elevated — a setting that encouraged guests to linger, relax and enjoy the evening.

Behind the scenes, our team managed logistics, supplier coordination and the flow of the evening, ensuring the experience felt effortless for both hosts and guests. This calm, structured approach allowed the couple to be fully present, enjoying time with family and friends without distraction.

The rehearsal dinner set the tone beautifully for the wedding weekend that followed — relaxed, thoughtful and rooted in connection.

This rehearsal dinner at Kin House reflects the importance of considering every element of a wedding weekend as part of a cohesive whole. When approached with intention, even the most understated moments can feel deeply special.

For couples planning a Kin House wedding weekend, we believe these quieter gatherings are just as meaningful as the main celebration — offering space to connect, reflect and begin the weekend with warmth and ease.
